Meet the Team
Stacey has always loved adventure and all things outdoors, especially being on the water. She had paddle boarded a handful of times on vacations and such, but fell in love with the sport in the summer of 2020 after taking a SUP Yoga class with a friend out of town. She was instantly hooked, and knew she wanted to teach. After returning to St. Louis she found SUP St. Louis, and started participating in as many paddle board activities as possible--SUP yoga, lake and river paddles. She bought her first paddle board at the beginning of the 2021 summer season, and learned pretty quickly the sport was even more enjoyable with a friend, so she bought a second board soon after.
Paddling has provided Stacey immense joy and peace, and has strengthened her physically and mentally. She loves the still calm she experiences being immersed in nature and on the water, and the independence, empowerment and self-sufficiency it cultivates. Stacey bought SUP St. Louis in 2022 from its founder, friend and fellow paddle enthusiast, Shane Perrin, in the hopes of sharing that paddle enthusiasm. She loves providing opportunities to experience the joy, peace, and empowerment paddle boarding has brought her. She believes paddle enthusiasm is contagious, and she is happy to spread the paddle love. :) Stacey is a certified Paddle Fit Core Stand up paddle board instructor, Yoga instructor, soon-to-be SUP Yoga certified instructor and unwavering paddle board enthusiast. .Mo started doing sup yoga around 2014 when she tried out classes with sup St. Louis for her birthday. Already heavily involved with yoga, she obtained her 200 hour certification through local yoga organization Yoga abuzz in 2016 and began teaching SUP yoga that same year. As a former athlete, Mo has used yoga to help provide functional movement to her bodyguards in and destress from daily stressors. She has taught a variety of fitness classes over the years including yoga, Zumba, and barre. She currently resides in Rock Hill with her husband and water loving golden retriever Murphy.

As a pediatrician, Kristen's goal is to help kids live their best lives. She sees them get bogged down by all sorts of things including physical issues and health concerns, but the number one thing she sees them struggle with is the process of becoming themselves in this crazy world that is quite difficult to navigate as a tween/teen. As her love of paddle boarding grew, she recognized the healing power of being outside and taking time away from social media and the immediate pressures of life. With each stroke, she felt the weight of daily life falling off. She felt strong, connected, and more authentically herself. She felt free as she paddled (hence, the name Paddle Freely) :) She developed the Paddle Freely classes to share these feelings and to promote relevant discussions to learn to not only paddle in the water freely, but to begin to move through life itself more freely.
Kristen is a certified Paddle Fit Core Stand Up Paddle Board Instructor, pediatrician, and unflappable paddle board enthusiast. Kristen exudes joy and lighthearted fun as she teaches Paddle Freely and kids Paddle Fit & Fun classes. |
